Watch Out For Logan Morrison!

I know what most of you are thinking. “Who the Hell is Logan Morrison?” You may be thinking that now, but by this time next year, Logan Morrison will probably be in the Majors and Mike Jacobs may very well be with out a job. Logan Morrison is the left handed 1st baseman for the single-A Jupiter Hammerheads. The young slugger is batting a strong .318 with 7 HR and 40 RBI. The Missouri native was named Florida State Player of the week for the week of June 9-15. Logan collected 9 hits in 15 at bats, which translates to a .600 BA. He hit one home run, four doubles, drove in 9 RBI, stole 3 bases, and scored 5 runs.
Logan stands tall at 6’2, weighs in at 215, and is merely 20 years old with an incredibly bright future ahead of him. I won’t call him the next Mickey Mantle or Babe Ruth because I don’t like to jinx people and ruin their lives, but I do believe that he will excel in his baseball career and be very successful.
Any collectors out there? Grab on to a few of this kid’s rookie cards and pay very close attention. He may just give you a run for your money!

Wowwww, baby. You need to relax. A 20-year-old first baseman jumping from Class A to the Major Leagues? In a word…NEVER.

There’s no doubt Logan Morrison is an excellent prospect, but let’s give him some time to develop and hope he can hit the Major Leagues by the time he’s 22 or 23.

I’m sure any Marlins executives who read this had a chuckle over “will probably be in the Majors” this time next year.
