Independence Day: The Old Fashioned American Way

(I apologize for not posting this sooner, and don’t worry, I won’t make any excuses. But like I always say, better late than never! So, with that being said. Happy 4th! I hope you all had a wonderful and safe independence day)

There is no better way to celebrate the 4th of July than sitting in a ball park with an ice cold beer in one hand and a warm loaded hot dog in the other. Sitting in one of many seats, amongst plenty of other patriotic baseball lovers is the best celebration that I can think of. Our Florida Marlins are on a two week roadtrip, so we ventured an hour and a half away from home to visit the Jupiter Hammerheads play the Palm Beach Cardinals. The game was filled with excitement, great plays, and home runs. All of the players were very friendly and very willing to sign an auto– the beauty of minor league ball. We had the pleasure of meeting “Hulk Logan”, Greg Burns, Chris Hatcher, and my personal favorite, Vasili Spanos. The game ended with our Hammerheads defeating the Cardinals, and the night ended perfectly with a beautiful display of fireworks and a great photo taken with the selfless Greek, Vasili Spanos.

Welcome to Roger Dean Stadium!

BOO!

YAY!

Uncle Sam and The Infamous Tatiana want YOU!

Vasili signing for the fans.
“Hey, number 22, can I have your autograph?”

Vasili and I

The perfect way to end a wonderful night.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! 🙂

  1. It’s awesome that the 4th of July is celebrated on Jupiter too. I’m thinking about visiting there some day, but I want to check out Saturn first 🙂
